This programme features veteran artists and new talents of Cantonese Opera in one song and six excerpts. Three of the excerpts are the civil type of opera ("wen shi") while another three are the military type ("wu Shi"). The objectives are firstly, to provide a platform for the new talents to put into practice what they have learned as well as to let them gain stage experience; and secondly, to let the audience have a balanced view of the evening's programme. The song "The Eccentric Playwright" is a solo item by Cantonese Opera enthusiast Chan Hwee Seng, an insurance administrator by profession, telling the biography of the late Cantonese Opera playwright Nan Hai Se San Lang.

Following this will be the six excerpts, viz, "Jia Bao Yu's Dilemma" featuring Ang Cheng Hong; "The Innocent Temptress" written by upcoming Cantonese Opera playwright Norman Cheung and featuring Chan Mei Yin and Li Ping Mei; "Return Of The Heavenly Princess" performed by a Cantonese Opera duo Janet Wong and Mandy Chung and sixteen other new talents; "Forced To Rebel" performed by Ian Kwok Kwong Luen; "Demise Of A General" featuring Martial Art Instructor Choy Yien Chow; and the finale "A Dangerous Mission" from "Women Warriors Of Yang Family" starring Joanna Wong, CTC's Artistic Director and Nancy Li. Apart from Joanna Wong and Choy Yien Chow , both of whom are veterans, the rest are upcoming artists groomed by Joanna Wong to take centrestage eventually. For the military type of excerpts, sixteen acrobat artists from the renowned China Guangzhou Hong Dow Cantonese Opera Troupe have been engaged to display top quality stage fighting skills under the direction of Choy Yien Chow.

Both Chinese & English subtitles will be used.
